November Newsletter

Our students will be wrapping up their first semester in the next two months. Our high school seniors are balancing SATs. College, EOP, & Scholarship applications. Along with Senior Seminar for Magnet students, ACADECA & Science Bowl competitions. We will be busy writing Letters of Recommendations and service log hours. It’s an intense and busy time for our students, but everyone is pushing through. LHTP continues to be here to help all of our students to finish strong by Winter break.

Our “Increase the Peace” Committee & Support Team hosted their 16th annual Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Clean up this past weekend. It was a great event that helped to unify our community agencies, schools, churches, and the local businesses. We thank, Larry, from LHTP Board of Director, our Citizens partners, Dino’s burgers, LACC, Starbucks, Mayor’s Office for sponsorship & volunteering. Our JYC & YUCA visited the UC Irvine campus. It was perfect timing for our seniors, as they are making decisions about which colleges to apply for. We connected with, Donny, our YUCA alumni to assist with our tour and have an in depth Q & A time for our middle and high school students.

Our Citizens LA partners hosted an Appreciation Dinner for our Leaders and passed out Thanksgiving Holiday meals to our LHTP families.

We hope all of you can join us in supporting our LHTP programs and services through your financial donations and in sharing LHTP programs with friends, family, and colleagues in celebration of Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

You can make a donation starting today!!! We would not be able to provide our high quality programs and various opportunities to impact the lives of our children, youth, and teens without your partnership!!!
